Rebekah Andersen joined the English Language Institute in 2019. She was previously a first-grade teacher in Lincoln Public Schools. She teaches writing in the English Language Institute and is also the coordinator of the International Friendship Program.

She graduated with a B.A. in Elementary 教育 and English Minor from Nebraska Wesleyan University in 2013 and is also working on an MBA in 教育al Research from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln.

A native of Kearney, NE, she graduated from Kearney High School in 2006. She has always loved playing soccer, volleyball, reading and baking. She and her husband, 迈克尔, spent 10 years in Lincoln, NE while going to college and starting their family. While there, Rebekah worked in a title school with a large immigrant and refugee population. There she found her passion for working with English acquisition students. They moved back to Kearney, NE in 2017 to be closer to family and raise their kids in the Kearney community. 迈克尔 works with his family at Andersen Wrecking and Rebekah has been working towards her Master’s in 教育 and loving her work at 体育菠菜大平台. 她说, “I fell in love with working with English Language Learners in Lincoln and I am so thrilled to be able to do that with college students. Teaching at the college level has been a dream of mine for years, and to be able to do that at 体育菠菜大平台 and serve my hometown is an amazing honor.”

Rebekah plans to continue her education to earn a PHD in 教育al Research of English language instructional practices. She and 迈克尔 attend church at Holy Cross in Kearney. While in Lincoln, they spent time restoring old homes, volunteering for their local schools, and volunteering as youth sponsors for their church.
